Can inflict a very dangerous bite. The initial pain associated with the bite is not intense and is generaly less troublesome than a bee sting. Within 8 to 12 hours the pain becomes quiet intense and over a period of a few days a large ulcerous sore forms. This sore heals very slowly and often leaves a large, ugly, and disfiguring scar. The spider is a soft-bodied species found in homes and out buildings. The body varies in size from 1/3 to 1/2 inch in overall size and with the legs up to 1" overall. The body is yellow to dark brown with a distinct dark brown violin shape mark. Most bites occur when a person crushes or traps the spider while putting on old clothes that have been hanging in the garage or while rolling on the spider while asleep in bed.

BED BUGS

An adult bed bug is about 1/5 inch long and 1/8 inch wide. Its redish brown to mahogany-colored body is greatly flattened and oval shaped. Each female lays about 2 eggs per day untill she has laid approximately 200 eggs. Bed buggs have piercing-sucking mouthparts that enable them to pierce the skin and suck blood from their host and also give off a distinct odor. Frequently , even when the bed bugs themselves can not be easily found , their hidding places can be located by looking for the spots of fecal material they often leave in visible places. Fecal spots and the bloody spots left on sheets and pillowcases when engorged bugs are crushed serve as sure signs of infestation.

Carpenter Ant
Moderately sized mature colonies contain more than 3,000 workers with one queen per colony { colonies may contain satellite nest that consist of workers, larvae and popae; together with the main colony , the total population may exceed 15,000 }. Nest usually originate in moist, decayed wood and voids and may later expand into sound wood. Look for coarse sawdust piles { frass } that contain body parts and listen for the sound produced as workers chew to remove wood to enlarge the nest. Outside, nest are commonly found in dead or damaged portions of trees, rotting logs and stumps.
Carpenter ants forage alone or along trails 300 or more feet from the nest. "Trunk trails" between parent and satellite nest are clear of vegetation and debris, typically cutting across lawns. Carpenter ants enter buildings around door and window frames. through eaves, along plumbing and utility lines, and over branches touching the structure. Peak foraging occurs at night.

Yellowjackets

Most species typically build there nest underground , so workers will come and go from the nest via an earthen tunnel that ends in a hole at the soil surface. Underground nest are often started in an abandoned mammal burrow or a similar underground
cavity. The nest are made of carton. Many experts consider Yellowjackets to be the most dangerous of the social Hymenoptera in the United States , because of the insects nesting and foraging behavior and the potential for its venom to induce severe , life-threatening allergic re-sponses in certain sting victims.
FIRE ANTS
The RED and BLACK imported fire ant have spread to more than 13 southern and western states and continue to expand their range. These ants cause serious medical, agricultural and property damage. The red fire ant is very aggressive and will sting repeatedly , especially when their colony / mound is disturbed.
Fire ants typically nest outdoors in sunny areas of exposed soil or lawns. If untreated , fire ant infestations may reach 30 - 100 single mounds per acre, containing up to 80,000 ants. Over time, colonies may " link", creating supercolonies of up to 250,000 ants. Mounds are rounded and range from a few inches to several feet across. Each mound has several tunnels just under the soil surface extending out several feet. After rain, nest in sandy soil are rebuilt with sponge-like surfaces. When disturbed, fire ant workers pour out of their mound and aggressively attack the offender.
